FA Cup 5th Round Draw

-- Down to 16 teams, 9 EPL, 7 lower league teams. We get a lucky draw and will be travelling to play the winner of the Aldershot (L1)/Hull (CH) replay.

Ipswich(10-7-7, 8th) @ Nottingham Forest (7-4-13, 16th)

Nottingham Forest are 5:4 favorites today, we're 7:4 to win. Our first match against them was our breakthrough match where we started to figure out that we had a pretty good team as we destroyed them 5:1. We're 5-2-7 lifetime against them.

Nottingham Forest's Ivan Popov has 7 goals, Chris Wood has 6 to lead them. I move to a flat 3-5-2 today and put Mariga in the midfield with Donnelly and Mills. Burton wide left, Johnson wide right.

2': midfielder Sanchez with a yellow.

13': Constantino receives a pass 30 yards out and tries to beat the entire defense, he makes it around and through 5 players to get into the area somehow and earns a clear cut chance... but the keeper makes a diving save, damn! We do nothing with the corner.

16': Goal kick taken really long by Capitani... Constantino outruns the defense and controls it pretty well, into the area for a second clear cut chance, he's pretty close to the keeper though and can't get an angle to put it by him, nice save.

21': Mariga with a yellow.

26': Yellow for midfielder Garvan.

32': they earn their first clear cut chance, an attack down the left, passed into the area, crossed to the other side of the box, there's a header from very very close range, but Capitani makes a quick save to turn it over the bar and we clear the corner.

44': Constantino with a yellow.

HALF: We had a couple great chances to score and couldn't come through. Each team has 8 shots, most of their highlights were crosses into headers that went over... the one good Capitani save keeping us scoreless. They put 4 on target to our 3. Possession is about even and once again we are tackling and heading poorly, both under 50% for us while they have an 87% success rate on tackles and 67% on headers. That will keep us from getting anything going for sure.

56': Johnson with a yellow.

59': We have a corner, taken to the far end of the 6 yard box, Welsh tries to go up and get it but his jersey is being held and its spotted by the ref... penalty! Constantino takes it and scores. 1-0

63': Mills with a yellow, our 4th and the 6th total.

65': They get a through ball into the area, its looking like an easy goal for them, Welsh tries a last second tackle.. but its a foul, we give back the penalty, they take it and score easily. 1-1 Welsh gets a yellow for his tackle.

75': Negredo on for Hamilton, Gordon on for Mills. Johnson moves to MC, Gordon MR.

84': We have a throwin deep in their end, taken to Mariga, he avoids a tackle and gets a cross in, Negredo wins his header... keeper has to make a quick save and turns it back for a corner... that one they clear easily.

I'll take that on the road. Two penalties for a 1:1 draw. Both teams had a couple really good chances and couldn't convert. Their goalscorer is man of the match.
