I had to Google to be more precise but that's basically a 60 mile trip one-way.
A lot of HS athletes around here are already accustomed to frequent (near daily) trips to Atlanta for training in sports such as track & field as well as (out of season) seasonally for baseball & football so it isn't THAT out of the realm of possibility that they'd commute to practice.
edit to add: as you said, it's something I'll keep one eye on a bit just out of curiosity
