Bear - College Swimming

If you'll recall, Bear really enjoyed Berry College when he visited, giving the team / school high score across the board. The one area where he was a bit hesitant was with the coach. He really didn't connect with Coach Flinchbaugh the way he did with the Roanoke, or even the Centre coaches.

Well, the Southern Athletic Association Championship Meet was this past weekend, and Coach Finchbauh won his second men's coach of the year award. He previously won for men in 2015-16, and he won for the women in 2017-18. I thought that was pretty cool and forwarded it to Bear, hoping it would alleviate any concerns he might have. He saw it, said it was pretty cool, and he admitted that during the visit, the other swimmers on the team all said he was a really good coach. Hopefully, this will just reinforce his feeling that he made a good decision.
