July's Top CL Rookie Named

José Gonzáles wreaked havoc on Continental League pitching last month and led the charge for the Rookie of the Month Award.
In July he batted .304 for the
Bullets, lashing 28 hits and 7 home runs. The
Leduc first baseman also drove in 21 runs and scored 16 times to round out a most impressive month.
So far this year in 108 games Gonzáles is hitting .248 with 21 home runs, 72 RBIs and 52 runs scored.

July was a month to remember for
Tokyo first baseman
Carlos González and it was capped off today with the announcement that he was named the winner of the Republic League Rookie of the Month award.
González compiled a .352 batting average and .385 on-base percentage last month. In 25 games he piled up 32 hits, 7 home runs, 23 RBIs and 16 runs scored.
In the current season,
González has put up a .281 batting average with 105 hits, 13 home runs, 57 runs batted in and scored 46 runs.
