Team A (1-2) vs. Detroit Catholic Central C (1-2)

Tossup 1 - DCC gets the opening history question and 1 bonus. 0-20
Tossup 2-3 - Back to back tossups from Adhav and Grady give us the lead. 40-20
Tossup 4 - DCC negs, but we fail to convert the lit question. 40-15
Tossup 5 - Matt gets a philosophy question and for the first time this tournament, we get all three bonuses! 80-15
Tossup 6 - DCC breaks a slump with a tossup and two bonuses. 80-45
Tossup 7-10 - DCC fails to get the next 4 tossups. We only manage two of them, but it helps build a good lead at halftime. 110-40
Tossup 11 - Once again, we get beat on a lit question. DCC converts one bonus. 105-60
Tossup 12 - Adhav gets a history question and we convert one bonus. 125-60
Tossup 13 - DCC gets a history question and one bonus. 125-80
Tossup 14 - Matt comes through with a power on a science question, but we get none of the literature bonuses. 140-80
Tossup 15 - Neither team gets it. DCC running out of time.
Tossup 16 - Adhav comes through with a history tossup. We get one bonus. 160-80
Tossup 17 - DCC gets a science question and one bonus to stay in it. 160-100
Tossup 18 - Grady picks up a current events question, but we fail to pick up any of the fine arts bonuses. This is not over yet. 170-100
Tossup 19 - DCC gets a myth question and two tossups. Our failure on bonuses has kept this an uncomfortably close game. 170-130
Tossup 20 - DCC picks up their 3rd out of the last 4 tossups and it is now anybody's game with one question left.
Tossup 21 - DCC can win it by getting the tossup and two bonuses. They buzz and.... it is wrong! We don't know the answer either but the game is over.

We get the 3rd and 8th tossups and... nothing else. Not much to write about here.
