SP Eddie Plank signs a 4 year contract extension with the Cubs. Plank was 17-13 with a 2.02 ERA last season.

LF John Anderson signs a 1 year deal with Deroit. The 33 year old hit .288 last season with Texas.

RF Harry Bay signs with Boston. Last season he hit .316 with Baltimore.

RF Buck Freeman signs a 3 year deal with Detroit. Last season was a down year for the 35 year old wo hit only .232.

CF Chick Stahl signs with the Dodgers. Talk is that the 34 year old has seen better days.
