Because we're already at 56 players and getting up against our cap, I've decided to make a few moves to clear some space.

We traded our 5.28 pick this year to Fargo for their 5th rounder in 2012, and we traded our backup QB Daryl Cassidy to Denver for their 5th rounder in 2011.

Cassidy at that price is a decent value, but I needed to make room for Goodwin. I still think Cassidy will develop past his current potential with some decent playing time, but that's not likely to happen in Denver. They've already got 2-time CFL Bowl MVP Marcus Garibaldi under center, who is only a 6-year vet and unlikely to go anywhere soon.
