Our Two Other Draft Picks
After all the wheeling and dealing was completed, we were left with just two other picks in this draft: 5.21, and 7.28. Here's what we got with those picks:
5.21: TE Colin Chandler - this Mississippi State product appears to be an excellent blocking prospect, with some more modest skills in the pasing game. He'll be able to contribute immediately on special teams too. Initial evaluation: 27/47
7.28: G Joel DeVries - DeVries hails from Tulsa, and looks to be a strong run blocker who will be just average or so in the passing game. Blocking strength is a concern. Initial evaluation: 17/46.
So, between these two and Stanford grad Kent Goodwin we went all-offense in the draft this year.
