Exhibition season has begun (yawn), and so this seems a good time to review our roster. Many of the players listed below are meat shields, and will clearly not make it past the final roster cutdowns.

Hogan is back for his 12th year, and his skills have not yet begun to diminish. That's a good sign, as we'll need everything he's got to make it back to the postseason. We'll also need him to stay healthy, which he was mostly able to do last year (except for that whole missing the playoffs thing - that was a downer).

Goodwin and Weinke will be battling for the backup spot, but my money is on Goodwin. They're both green, and Weinke is more experienced, but I'm guessing the rookie wants to prove that he's the true heir to Hogan's dynasty. However, if either of them see significant playing time during the season we'll likely be out of the running right quick. Ramsey is meat.
