1 feature game this week, so let's get to it.

11/29/17- TCU (Bee Mighty) @ Alabama (Roy Rogers) -- Hard to win when you have a 31.5% shooting night, and that's what the deal was with TCU in this one. They shot poorly, and while Alabama didn't shoot great, they shot well enough to win pretty handily.

Final Score: Alabama- 63, TCU- 47

Now to the rest of the weekly recap:

Hartford (David Ginsberg) -- 4-1, 0-0 America East.

No games this week for Coach Ginsberg and the Hawks.

ECU (Al Hutt) -- 2-2, 0-0 American.

11/27/17 at #8 VCU (W 62-57).
12/1/17 at N.C. State (L 88-55).

The Pirates started off the week on a good note with a big upset of VCU, but maybe got a little overconfident as N.C. State brought them back to Earth.

Tulsa (Will Brown) -- 5-3, 0-0 American.

11/28/17 vs. Central Arkansas (L 78-76).
11/30/17 vs. Arkansas (L 69-64).
12/3/17 at Elon (W 76-50).

2 heartbreakers on the road for the Golden Hurricane this week, but at least they got one on the road to salvage the week somewhat.

Davidson (Randolph Childress) -- 3-2, 0-0 Atlantic 10.

11/29/17 vs. N.C. State (W 76-68).
12/1/17 vs. Presbyterian (L 69-65).
12/3/17 at Iowa (W 88-70).

Weird week for the Wildcats, as they get 2 wins over P5 teams in N.C. State and Iowa, yet somehow inexplicably lose to Presbyterian? That kind of inconsistency is not what they need.

Clemson (Charles Johnson) -- 3-2, 0-0 ACC.

11/28/17 vs. South Florida (W 58-47).
11/30/17 vs. Texas (W 85-66).

Good week for the Tigers as they get a couple pretty easy wins at home.

Duke (Dean Hoo) -- 3-1, 0-0 ACC.

11/29/17 vs. Coastal Carolina (W 63-29).

Suffocating defense by the Blue Devils in their only game of the week, as they held Coastal Carolina to 26.1% shooting.

#9 Kansas (Dave Johnson) -- 5-1, 0-0 Big 12.

11/28/17 vs. Gardner Webb (W 75-60).
12/2/17 at Minnesota (W 92-63).

Couple solid double-digit wins for the Jayhawks, one at home and one on the road, but they haven't gotten to the toughest part of their non-conference schedule yet. That comes in a couple weeks.

TCU (Bee Mighty) -- 2-3, 0-0 Big 12.

11/29/17 at Alabama- feature game, highlighted above.
12/1/17 at Purdue (L 65-53).

Back to reality for the Horned Frogs, who lose 2 road games this week after winning 2 games in their season tournament. The schedule gets easier for the next few games though.

Michigan (Cillian Tribble) -- 4-3, 0-0 Big Ten.

11/29/17 at Ole Miss (W 84-73).

1 game this week for the Wolverines, but they took care of business on the road.

Michigan State (Al Mighty) -- 5-1, 0-0 Big Ten.

11/27/17 vs. Canisius (W 99-71).
11/29/17 at Southern Utah (W 81-49).

The Spartans beat up on a couple overmatched opponents this week, just a couple tune up tests as the real non-conference schedule begins in a couple weeks.

#25 Northwestern (Ess Vee) -- 5-0, 0-0 Big Ten.

11/29/17 at Youngstown State (W 75-63).

The Wildcats win their only game of the week, and if they lose at all in December it will be a total upset. Their 6 December opponents have a combined record of 7-25.

Hawaii (B.B. Gunn) -- 1-5, 0-0 Big West.

11/27/17 at Northeastern (L 70-54).

The firecoachgunn.com website is running in full force now, as the Warriors lose another one this week, on the road. That's 4 in a row, not good.

Charlotte (Timmy Tribble) -- 3-3, 0-0 Conference USA.

11/27/17 at Xavier (L 63-53).
12/1/17 vs. Liberty (W 67-45).
12/3/17 vs. Radford (W 67-63).

The 49ers even up their record this week as they win 2 of 3. They'd like to forget the game at Xavier though. Even though they only lost by 10, it should have and could have been a lot more.

Rice (Charlie Shocker) -- 4-1, 0-0 Conference USA.

12/2/17 vs. Milwaukee (W 88-71).

Nice recovery for the Owls after their first loss of the season, as they handle a pretty good Milwaukee team in their only game of the week.

Monmouth (Thomas Carrano) -- 3-3, 1-0 MAAC.

11/27/17 at Stony Brook (L 73-54).
12/1/17 at Lehigh (W 69-61).
12/3/17 at Canisius (W 57-47).

I for the life of me will never understand why the MAAC starts conference play in early December in this game. Do they do this in real life too? I don't get it. In any case, the Hawks have a good week, winning 2 of 3 on the road and getting off to a good start in MAAC play.

Norfolk State (Payten Carrano) -- 3-2, 0-0 MEAC.

11/30/17 at Virginia Tech (L 66-39).

Not a good display for the Spartans in their only game of the week, as they were handled easily.

Colorado (Rob Nielsen) -- 2-3, 0-0 Pac 12.

11/30/17 vs. Texas A&M (W 71-53).

Good win for the Buffaloes against a former Big 12 opponent, and they've got what should be an easy one next week before they go on the road for 3 tough ones.

#24 Stanford (Benito Sanchez) -- 5-0, 0-0 Pac 12.

11/27/17 at San Jose State (W 67-42).
12/1/17 at UNLV (W 59-48).

The Cardinal stay undefeated with a couple double digit victories on the road, and next week will be a busy week as they have 3 games.

#22 UCLA (Tim Shepard) -- 4-1, 0-0 Pac 12.

11/29/17 at Kansas State (W 63-58).
12/2/17 vs. LSU (W 84-63).

Good week for the Bruins as they get by Kansas State on the road then demolish a very good LSU team. That loss to Richmond definitely upset them.

Washington State (DeShawn St. John) -- 2-2, 0-0 Pac 12.

11/29/17 at Wyoming (W 73-69).

The Cougars even up their record by winning their only game of the week, a tough road victory. Like Northwestern, they have a pretty soft and easy December schedule, so it's a chance to get a few feel good wins before Pac 12 play.

Alabama (Roy Rogers) -- 3-2, 0-0 SEC.

11/27/17 vs. Samford (W 76-42).
11/29/17 vs. TCU- feature game, highlighted above.

Good week for the Crimson Tide who win both their games at home.

#10 Florida (Noah Oppenheimer) -- 5-0, 0-0 SEC.

11/27/17 vs. Georgetown (W 86-56).

Just 1 game this week for the Gators, but they took care of a Georgetown team that will probably be dancing come March. Not only did they beat them, but they demolished them.

#2 Kentucky (Patrick Hutt) -- 5-0, 0-0 SEC.

11/27/17 at Butler (W 85-66).
11/30/17 vs. Canisius (W 98-74).

A couple easy wins this week for the Wildcats who are rolling along early on.

Troy (Brett Hawkins) -- 3-2, 0-0 Sun Belt.

12/1/17 at Mississippi State (W 71-70).

I have to consider this one an upset for the Trojans. Granted, Mississippi State hasn't won a game yet, but still, Troy hasn't done much to prove they can compete with the P5 teams. Although it was a 1 point win, it was on the road and could give Troy a lot of confidence going forward.

Here's a look at the national top 25 going into next week:

Great week for FOFC teams, as Kentucky stayed at #2, but no FPV. Kansas and Florida each move up a spot, UCLA and Stanford each move up 4 spots, and Northwestern moves up 2 spots. Not to mention, both Michigan State and Duke are receiving votes again. Keep it up boys!

Now for the mid-major top 25 going into next week:

Very tough pollsters in FBCB. Tulsa loses 2 games this week by a combined 7 points, and not only drops out of the mid-major top 25, but loses all their votes. That seems a little ridiculous to me. On the bright side, Rice and Hartford are off to good starts and both are receiving votes, and quite a few votes each. Let's hope they can keep it up.
