Halifax's Carswell Reaps CL's Rookie Award

The premier rookie performer in the Continental League was
Halifax left fielder
Bob Carswell. He was honored today by league officials as the 2211 Benny Myers Rookie of the Year Award winner.
Carswell put up some good numbers, including a .264 batting average and .363 on-base percentage, while racking up 18 home runs, 68 RBIs and 79 runs scored.
RL Best Newcomer Award Hauled in by Contreras

Hammersmith -- the brand-new 2211 Republic League Benny Myers Rookie of the Year Award winner -- right fielder
Juan Contreras.
In his debut season he compiled some good stats, hitting .332, batting in 74 runs and scoring 100 times, while playing in 162 games. The 25-year-old newcomer also had 39 doubles, 2 triples and 10 home runs.
