Main Card

Featherweight Division
Mike Brown (24-6) vs Diego "The Guns" Nunes (15-1)

Round 1: Brown and Nunes both show good defense in the first round as neither man can land any solid strikes. With a minute left in the round Brown manages a takedown that should end up giving him the round.

Round 2: The second round is much the same as the first. Brown gets a takedown and is busy working to get into a position for a sub. He tries an armbar but can't cinch it in. Nunes is absolutely smothered. Brown finishes the round on top.

Round 3: A very lackluster round 3 plays out like the previous two. Brown scores another takedown and cinches the fight.

Mike Brown d. Diego Nunes (Unanimous Decision). The fight was rated as being poor.

Light Heavyweight Division
Brandon "The Truth" Vera (11-5) vs Tito Ortiz (15-8-1)

Round 1: The two vets trade shots early, but then it is a defensive fight as both guys stuff each others takedowns. Vera lands some decent blows to end the round and give him the lead.

Round 2: The excitement starts right away as both guys hit big shots. Vera rocks Ortiz but he tries following up his shot with a takedown. Ortiz sprawls and has Vera in a loose front facelock. Tito begins throwing bombs to a prone Vera and sends him down. He gets on top and begins a nasty GNP that forces a stoppage!

Tito Ortiz d. Brandon Vera at 1:29 of the 2nd round (TKO - Strikes). The fight was rated as being good.

Heavyweight Division
Brendan "The Hybrid" Schuab (7-1) vs Mirko Cro Cop (27-8-2)

Round 2: Schuab is leery of being leg kicked and looks tentative. Cro Cop explodes with a barrage of punches that stun Schuab. A right leg kick sends Schuab down and Cro Cop finishes him off with GNP!

Mirko Cro Cop d. Brendan Schuab at 0:58 of the 2nd round (TKO - Strikes) The fight was rated as being decent.

Co-Main Event/Lightweight Division
Gray "The Bully" Maynard (10-0) vs Clay "The Carpenter" Guida (27-11)

Round 1: It's what you'd expect in round 1 as both men try to use their wrestling to their advantage. Its' a slow round that most likely ends up in the favor of Maynard.

Round 2: Guida comes out firing on all cylinders in the second. He stuns Maynard with a flying knee but Maynard stays up. Guida keeps the attack on but Maynard is showing remarkable heart by staying up. The round ends with Guida tying it up.

Round 3: Both guys are gassed in the 3rd round and Maynard uses it to his advantage as he keeps Guida pressed against the cage for much of the round. It isn't pretty but Maynard should take this.

Gray Mayndard d. Clay Guida (Unanimous Decision). The fight was rated as being poor.

Main Event/UFC Welterweight Title Fight
George St. Pierre [c] (21-2) vs Jake Shields (26-4-1)

Round 1: Shields is on the attack to start the fight. He tries four takedowns to no avail, but as the round is ending he throws a barrage of punches that stun GSP enough to execute a takedown and take the round.

Round 2: GSP comes out and goes for a takedown to start the round. He succeeds but ends up stuck in a triangle! The triangle is locked in deep, but GSP is able to get up and absolutely demolish Shields with a vicious powerbomb! Shields is stunned and GSP is right on top of him with huge blows. The ref has no choice to stop the fight! What a finish!

George St. Pierre d. Jake Shields at 1:57 of the 2nd round (TKO - Strikes) to retain the UFC Welterweight Title. The fight was rated as being great.
