Big game coming up - Washington State is coming to town. They are 5-0 and ranked #3. We are listed as 13 point favorites as home - bet the Cougars to cover that number.

We are relatively healthy. Bruschi will sit out one more game and we have lost backup FS Jerry Brock for awhile with a fractured orbital.

Stopping Washington State starts with QB Eric Williams. He is now the all-time leader in passing yards (14,491) and should get the TD mark as well (112, 127 is the record). Career 62% completion percentage with a 154.8 rating. Great, great player.
And, they have the #15 recruit in the nation behind him - so look for the beat to roll on next year for these guys at QB.

They have a freshman RB in John Putzier who has taken over the RB duties. He has 700 yards and 7 TDs in his first 5 games. Yet another stud RB who played his high school ball in Arizona.

WR - Joey Odom and Willie Morris return. These two upperclassmen feel like they have been around forever.

The offensive line is serviceable to good.

Defensively, they have one of the deeper lines I have seen. MLB Ken Lenon had 8 sacks last year and makes a lot of plays. They have added a good CB in transfer Malcolm Haynesworth and SS Lamar Houston can also play.

Overall, I don't think they are quite as talented across the board as Minnesota was, but the QB is a dominant player who probably makes them a tougher test.
