Let’s look at who they thought was league Offensive MVP:
QB Johnny Orellana - 3831 yards, 30-10 TD:Int ratio, 97.9 rating. A very good year, no question.
Now, let’s look at Marvin Graham:
WR Marvin Graham - 142 catches, 2114 yards, 16 TDs.
All three stats led the league. The catches and yards are, by far, record setting numbers.
Orellana had a good year, no question. But nothing there is record-setting. Nothing there is Marino-esque. It’s a very, very good year, and Orellana deserved the Top QB spot for All Pro, but Marvin Graham SET RECORDS in his position that obliterated previous records. Who should be League Offensive MVP?
