2014-2015 Season Preview

Unfortunately Monroe Christensen is suspended for the first semester and hopefully will be eligible come January 1. That's a pretty devastating setback for us, he seems like he's going to be a star.

C: Stephen Roybal, 6'10" senior that is primed for a big year, at least defensively.
  • 2013 - 29 gs, 5.2 ppg, 7.5 rpg, 1.9 bpg
  • 2012 - 30 gp, 1.2 ppg, 1.6 rpg
  • 2011 - 5 gp
PF: Carl Courtney, 6'8" senior will benefit from Christensen being suspended, he doesn't do anything real well nor does he do anything not well.
  • 2013 - 29 gp, 26 gs, 6.1 ppg, 7.8 rpg
  • 2012 - 18 gp, 1.9 ppg, 1.7 rpg
  • 2011 - 29 gp, 2.3 ppg, 2.1 rpg
SF: Frankie Hornes, 6'3" senior with a smooth jumper.
  • 2013 - 29 gp, 12 gs, 4.6 ppg, 3.0 rpg
  • 2012 - 27 gs, 7.6 ppg, 5.0 rpg, 2.9 apg
  • 2011 - 28 gp, 2.8 ppg, 55% fg
SG: Joshua Milam, 5'11" junior who can handle the ball well and has a nice mid-range game.
  • 2013 - 29 gp, 3.4 ppg
  • 2012 - 29 gp, 4.6 ppg
PG: Tony Ponce, 6'0" sophomore with range from deep and decent handles, hopefully this will be a breakout year for him.
  • 2013 - 29 gp, 3.3 ppg, 35% 3p
6th: Jay Baughman, 6'2" junior with great ball handling skills but he's a defensive liability. He'll get time at PG, SG, and SF.
  • 2013 - 2 star JUCO recruit, 780th overall.
7th: Frank Pearl, 6'7" sophomore who can shoot it from anywhere in the gym, but he's by far our worst defender.
  • 2013 - 27 gp, 0.8 ppg, 1.0 rpg
That will be the extent of our rotation this year until January when we add Christensen, many of the younger guys aren't ready to get playing time. Xavier Stiles will be redshirting.
