I've put more people on 30 day mute on social in the past few months than I'd used in my entire online life previously, a couple are on round two already. And that's likely nothing more than a state of denial, that's generally a point of no return with me anyway.

I have the little bit of optimism in my mind that people are in the process of rethinking things, on the whole, and maybe we come out of this heading back on the upswing as opposed to the downswing. But it's probably naive of me to think so and, instead, it's entrenched things more than ever and we're just in this downward spiral toward the end of the "empire" and/or civil or world war.
