Week 15
Jonesboro (2-10-1) @ Atlanta (10-3)
The Saints have the worst record in the league, but they are on a 2 week non-losing streak. Now that we have a very real chance of winning the division, we can not afford to take any team lightly.

As the final gun sounded, Jonesboro attempted a 49 yard field goal, and the kick was good. Of course it didn't matter because we were winning the game 33-0 at the time, but it was a bummer not being able to post two shutouts in consecutive weeks. Leland won another MVP award, but this was a much more impressive showing than last week's. He finished the game with 221 yard and 2 TDs in 33 carries. This was a great game by every member of this team, both on offence and defense.

I should point out that Tampa lost again this week. This puts us in the diver's seat of the NFC south with a 1 game lead.

Week 16
Denver (4-10) @ Atlanta (11-3)
Denver is not a good team, but they did just beat Tampa two weeks ago, so we can not afford to take them lightly. Denver's starting QB is hurt, so they have had to turn to the services of free agent Jason Bownes, who is starting for his third team…this year. I don't know that I have ever seen a QB start for three different teams in a single season, but he has done it. Bowens is a 15 year player that may work for a temp agency as often as he has changed teams. Oddly enough, he really has had a fairly decent career. He is never going to be in the Hall of Fame, but he has done quite well for himself.

Leland had another great game. In 40 carries Leland had 176 yards and 2 TDs. Those totals mean that he has now reached his preseason goals as he now has 2022 yards and 16 TDs for the season. In all the excitement of Leland's personal achievement, the Falcons seemed to forget that there was a game to finish. In the fourth quarter we gave up three TDs, but Denver was not able to recover their final onside kick, and we ran out the clock from there. We win the game 28-21.

In other league news, for the third week in a row, Tampa has lost (though this was no upset as they were facing Oakland). Tampa's collapse means that we have now clinched the division title, as well as home field advantage throughout the playoffs.
