González Named Best Rookie This Year

Jorge González's age didn't show very often in his first year. He performed more like a veteran on the hill for the
St Cloud Raindrops and today he walked away with the 2097 Continental League Kien-lung Teng Award.
The 25-year-old starter registered a 15-9 record this season in 33 starts. Over 206.1 innings he gave up 196 hits, struck out 126 and issued 44 walks as he held the opposition to a .252 batting average and fashioned a 3.84 ERA.
