The Georgian Conquest of Ankara
The vile Ottomans are under siege in their western provinces by an ambitious Doge of Venice. Even Constantinople has fallen. The Ottoman navy is a shell of it former self, the army less than that. The glories of a once proud Sultanate are starting to collapse to the powers of Europe.
From his throne, the now 69 year old King Giorgi VIII smiles. He has accomplished much in his 53 years leading Georgia, now he feels the chance to strike another blow against his western neighbors along the Turkic peninsula. Bolu, Kocaeli, Ankara, Bozok, Kayseri and Malatya are all provinces that Giorgi has ordered claims to fabricated against. He knew this moment would come, he had only hoped he would live to see it.
The troops are massed and ready. The 1st Army in Kastamonu, the 2nd Army in Amasya and the 3rd Army marching for Sivas. The Georgian navy sits in the Sea of Marmara ready to blockade the staits connecting Edirne and Constantinople from Biga and Kocael. King Giorgi VIII's golden moment has arrived.
War has been declared, the Casus Belli is the conquest of Ankara.

Sad news has reverberated across the kingdom as the 69 year old King Giorgi VIII has died after 53 years on the throne. From taking pieces of Golden Horde and Ottomans, to annexing Nogai, his was a reign of expansion and glory. His spirit and legend will be remembered for all time.

King Giorgi VIII has passed away before Luarsab was able to take the throne. A Regency Council will rule in his place until he comes of age. -1 Stability (+1)

9 Pretender regiments rise up in revolt in Imereti, believing that Luarsab's weak claim the throne is highly disputable! Giorgi Tsereteli who styles himself Giorgi IX has laid claim to the throne!

The new and more mobile artillery had one problem – it could not be easily elevated up and down to adjust its firing range. Trunnions were cylindrical protrusions that acted as mounts for the gun on its carriage, which allowed it to be tilted and thus aimed better.

End of the Georgian Conquest of Ankara (August 1601 – September 1604)
King Luarsab and Sultan Abdulhamid have reached a peace agreement, ending the conflict between Georgia and Ottomans.
Ottomans will be forced to give 10% of their monthly income for 10 years to pay for war reparations.
Ottomans will cede Malatya, Kayseri, Bozok, Ankara, Bolu and Kocaeli to Georgia.
Ottomans will pay 128 ducats.
