Islanders look like we might blow it big-time. I'm not asking for us to sign anyone for more than $3mil a year or so (and can live with Aucoin leaving for $4mil for 4 years). HOWEVER, we absolutely HAVE to sign a player or two for well over the average salary to be competitive (especially on defense).

But Milbury's comments of "the team will look very similar to last year (2003)" is extremely disturbing, given that Aucoin is gone.
