5 minute mark: Nick Porter gets a yellow card for a trip on McFadden.

10 minute mark: McFadden takes a free kick from 25 yards.. blasts a powerful shot.. upper right corner.. the keeper saves it.

14 minute mark: Maury gets open in our box.. shoots.. wide left.. whew. I thought that was going to go in.

18 minute mark: Fletcher gets a yellow card for a trip on Sidwell.

33 minute mark: Jones stops McFadden's dribble into the box.

36 minute mark: Marchetti collided with Rubins.. Godoy argues the whostle.. Godoy gets a yellow card.

Halftime: 0-0 tie. They have over 40,000 fans here today.

I decide to put Adriano on for King to ignite the offense. If that doesn't do enough, I will bring Rooney on at the 60 minute mark.

48 minute mark: Alfonso crosses it to the middle of the box.. Adriano heads it.. wide left.

51 minute mark: Marchetti gets a yellow card for a trip on Diamond.

58 minute mark: Sidwell with a hard shot.. it deflects off Marchetti.. Howard still recovers and smothers the ball.. brilliant play by Howard!

60 minute mark: Rooney on for McFadden and Parker on for Stevanovic.

66 minute mark: Steve Sidwell trips Fletcher.. yellow card for Sidwell.

75 minute mark: Godoy passes to Adriano in the right side of the box.. he beats a defender.. passes to Rooney in the left side of the box.. Rooney shoots.. the keeper blocks it.. Rooney shoots the rebound.. great recovery to block it again

81 minute mark: Parker passes to Rooney in the left side of the box.. he draws two defenders over.. he passes it to his right.. past Adriano.. to Godoy.. he shoots.. upper right corner.. GOAL!!!! 1-0.

83 minute mark: Godoy with a long pass to Rooney.. he gets it alone in the box.. tries to fake out the keeper.. shoots.. the keeper blocks it.

88 minute mark: Howard with a good save of a long shot by Sidwell.

91 minute mark: Marchetti with a very good defensive play.

Game over. 1-0 win for us

They outshot us 17-13 (9-6 on target)

Howard wins MoM for his 9 saves with a 9 for form.

Godoy also had a 9 for form as well as the game winning goal.
