Group D, Round 5, Game 1

Cleveland at Baltimore

Starting Pitchers

Alex White (CLE) vs. Chris Tillman (BAL)

Game Recap

Cleveland- 6, Baltimore- 3 -- The Indians broke open a close game with 3 in the 6th innings, taking a 5-0 lead at that point. Shin-Soo Choo and Michael Brantley each had 2 RBIs, and the Indian staff was sharp. The only setback was Justin Germano, who started the 8th inning on the mound and pitched to 4 batters, but didn't get any of them out. Baltimore scored all 3 of their runs in that 8th inning, but the biggest blow for the Orioles came in the top of the 9th when Adam Jones was injured diving for a fly ball. He'll miss the entire 2nd half of group play (5 games) but will return for bracket play

With 2 outs and runners on 2nd and 3rd, Dexter Fowler singled to score Ty Wigginton and walk off in a very exciting game!
