The first team didn’t have an impressive start to the season but the reserves had no such troubles. For the second game in a row the Liverpool reserves scores 7!! goals in a single game. This time they blew away Beasoncfield with a dominating 7-0 win. The Liverpool backups were up 5-0 after just 15 minutes of play. The best performance was by 30-year old Sotiris Kyrgiakos who scored two goals but also Nabil El Zhar showed good things today.

Andriy Voronin's agent has indicated that his client has rejected the contract offer from Porto. He feels he is deserving of a better basic salary.

A report on Football.fr speculates that both OM and Girondins Bordeaux are hot on the trail of Liverpool's Argentinean star Emiliano Insśa. His agent has added fuel to the fire by claiming that his client could be tempted by a move to France in the near future.
Insśa signed for league champions Liverpool in 2007 and it’s highly unlikely that Liverpool will be willing to sell him. Liverpool manager Thomas Northwood also issued a hands off warning.

Liverpool and Fluminense today’s agreed terms on a transfer for 19-year old left midfielder Joćo Paulo. Fluminense's Joćo Paulo is said to be very happy at having agreed terms with Liverpool. Joćo Paulo revealed that he was really enthusiastic about the prospect of moving to such a well-supported club. The price for the young player have still not been revealed.

vs.

Antonio de Natale (Man Utd) gave Italy a brilliant start after just 9 minutes of play when he scored his second goal of the tournament. Germany was back in the match after 64 minutes when Armins Mies fired off a shot for 30-yards out that hit the crossbar and went inn. The Italian keeper Buffon (Juventus) didn’t look to good on that shot. Gianluigi Buffon’s day went from bad to worse in OT when he rushed out on a cross and missed the ball and left the goal open for a easy German goal. Germany wins a game where Italy ha the most/best chances.
Italy 1 – Germany 2e
