Concord Rangers (Home, ID1N)

Here we are, first game of the season...the excitement is upon us as we have managed to bring in some talent but on top of that our home grown talent is getting a lot better.

We are pegged as favorites to beat Concord, especially at home.

Superior finishing provides cutting edge for Diss
Diss Town 3 - 0 Concord Rangers (Isthmian D1N)

Concord Rangers succumbed to a 3-0 loss in this afternoons English Isthmian League First Division North clash at Brewers Green Lane. Two goals from Onome Ogaga helped Diss to victory.

The first incident of note was on 33 minutes as Diss were denied claims by Luke Dean for a penalty. Diss finally took the lead when young striker Onome Ogaga scored a well executed finish in the 67th minute.

Striker Jack Defty doubled Diss' lead with a close range header in the 81st minute. There were no prizes for guessing who completed the rout in the 86th minute as that man Ogaga popped up again with a placed shot from close range.

Attendance: 270

Not a bad way to start the season, Ogaga was worrying me towards the end of last season that he was a bad transfer grab, but he has proved over the preseason and now here he wasn't.

As you can see we handled our shots quite well towards their goal. Their keeper did well to turn five of the eight shots that went on target.

We are going to continue with the same setup for our next match against Ware. It is a league match at home in 4 days.
