The 2039 NFL Amateur Draft!

We pick 1.24

La gets us started with WR Colby Bronson from Texas A&M heading off to help out the Rams.

A run on RBs in the 1.3, and then 1.11-1.13 took them all off. Most pf the OTs have gone as well. The last one I really, really like is now the best player, not just at his position, but in the Draft, at 6.5 adjusted grade, LT Darren Vang.

But I made a pledge to not trade up to target players I like to make this harder. So Vang heads off at 1.15. And then at 1.17 the last of the good OTs is gone. So...

I take the best WR on the board, WR Connor Hobson, here, take a look...

And there’s my Scott replacement.

Now in the 2nd, what’s next in my queue?

The best player by talent is SLB Jonathan Collier. And if I needed another LB I’d grab him. But my emphasis on getting good ones early in the dynasty has paid off decently enough with my current backers. And you can always find good LBs later. Now, if Collier is a future star?

Any good OTs left? Someone I can massage into a starter? Mah, I go Collier. O can’t see anyone else here worth the pick.

Draft Players:

1st round – FL Connor Hobson
2nd Round – SLB Collier by talent
3rd round, WR Colton Shumway
4th – Maybe FS Bucky Sotelo? Sure, let’s do it.
5th – OT Kent Leibwitz
6th – DE Gus Blakely
7th – CB Jimmy Swinford – Chosen as a potential returner

The vote to SLC passes 55 to 45% and we are heading to Utah!
