35 games on the schedule this week, with 1 feature game. We'll get right into it:

12/10/22- UConn (Randolph Childress) @ Stanford (Benito Sanchez) -- Another one where UConn was just overmatched, as they shot just 33.3% for the game in another pitiful loss.

Final Score: Stanford- 79, UConn- 58

Now to the rest of the weekly recap:

UConn (Randolph Childress) -- 3-5, 0-0 American.

12/8/25 vs. Columbia (L 86-78).
12/10/25 at Stanford- feature game, highlighted above.
12/13/25 at UMass- 62-48.

The Huskies are just not a good basketball team right now, losers of 4 in a row. They've got 2 more chances to get a win before conference play starts, and neither one look likely the way they are playing.

Notre Dame (Al Mighty) -- 4-2, 0-0 ACC.

12/11/25 vs. Lehigh (W 66-53).

Just 1 game this week for the Fighting Irish, a feel good win as the schedule toughens up a bit the rest of the month.

North Florida (Felix Abel) -- 4-3, 0-0 Atlantic Sun.

12/11/25 vs. Eastern Michigan (W 80-70).

Solid win for the Ospreys who are about to embark on a 4 game road trip, but they are staying in the southeast region for all 4.

TCU (Bee Mighty) -- 5-2, 0-0 Big 12.

12/9/25 at Pittsburgh (L 89-66).

1 game for the Horned Frogs who were totally overmatched at Pitt, but a couple more winnable games coming up.

#20 St. John's (Dean Hoo) -- 8-1, 0-0 Big East.

12/9/25 vs. Duquesne (W 94-56).
12/14/25 at Maryland Eastern Shore (W 93-76).

The Red Storm add 2 more to their win total, beating up on inferior competition this week. It's expected they'll do the same next week.

#22 Sacramento State (David Ginsberg) -- 6-0, 0-0 Big Sky.

12/9/25 at Santa Clara (W 96-85).
12/13/25 vs. Pacific (W 80-73).

2 more wins for the Hornets who are definitely surprising a few folks right now, but they've got some massive challenges coming up soon.

Northwestern (Ess Vee) -- 5-1, 0-0 Big Ten.

12/10/25 at Tennessee State (W 71-63).

Another win for the Wildcats who are off to a good start, as they continue their stretch of games against strong mid-major competition.

FIU (Brett Hawkins) -- 3-2, 0-0 Conference USA.

12/8/25 at UL Monroe (W 82-48).
12/10/25 at #9 Arizona (L 77-63).

A split for the Golden Panthers this week, who ran up against a buzzsaw in Arizona, who is back to having the kind of season we all expect.

#21 Fairfield (Ariel Pryde) -- 5-1, 1-1 MAAC.

12/12/25 vs. Rider (L 72-69).

1 game for the Stags, and not the kind of loss you want, losing to a 2-7 team. Even if it was by 3 points, that'll certainly cost them some votes.

San Jose State (Thomas Shepard) -- 3-4, 0-0 Mountain West.

12/9/25 at San Francisco (W 75-73).

A hard fought win for the Spartans in their only game of the week as they continue their road swing through Cali next week.

Wagner (Will Brown) -- 5-2, 0-0 Northeast.

12/9/25 vs. Princeton (W 93-73).
12/11/25 vs. Tennessee Tech (L 78-67).

A split for the Seahawks, who have a chance to really clean up the rest of the month. Their next 5 games are all on the road, but against teams with a combined record of 13-26.

Colorado (Rob Nielsen) -- 2-6, 0-0 Pac 12.

12/9/25 at Iowa State (L 74-60).
12/14/25 vs. Texas Tech (L 62-58).

2 more losses for the Buffaloes, who are pretty bad this season. Both losses came to former Big 12 foes.

Stanford (Benito Sanchez) -- 5-2, 0-0 Pac 12.

12/8/25 vs. Louisiana Tech (W 67-64).
12/10/25 vs. UConn- feature game, highlighted above.

2 important wins for the Cardinal as they get ready for their season tournament.

UCLA (Tim Shepard) -- 7-2, 0-0 Pac 12.

12/9/25 vs. Florida State (W 80-74).
12/14/25 at UC Riverside (W 80-72).

Consistency for the Bruins this week as they score 80 points each game, but get 2 strong wins.

Washington State (DeShawn St. John) -- 5-3, 0-0 Pac 12.

12/8/25 at Wyoming (W 78-59).
12/11/25 at San Francisco (L 74-59).

A split for the Cougars, as they finish off their non-conference schedule with what should, I say should, be 3 easy wins. They really need them all.

#10 Alabama (Roy Rogers) -- 7-1, 0-0 SEC.

12/8/25 vs. Michigan (W 81-73).
12/10/25 at #4 Baylor (L 71-60).
12/12/25 vs. Navy (W 77-59).
12/14/25 at Memphis (W 76-42).

Heavy week for the Crimson Tide, not much chance to practice when you play 4 games. They did well though, taking 3 of 4.

Arkansas Pine Bluff (B.B. Gunn) -- 2-5, 0-0 SWAC.

12/9/25 at Syracuse (L 84-57).
12/11/25 vs. Nebraska (L 102-77).
12/14/25 at #19 Georgetown (L 77-68).

My goodness, I figured the Golden Lions would take their lumps in non-conference play, but I really thought they'd be a bit more competitive. Sadly it isn't over, they still have 3 more brutal games on the non-conference schedule.

Troy (Benton Gale) -- 3-3, 0-0 Sun Belt.

12/8/25 vs. Samford (W 60-52).
12/10/25 at Belmont (W 78-65).

Great recovery for the Trojans, who have really played better basketball since their season opening tournament. Now they go into the grind of Sun Belt play.

San Diego (Charlie Shocker) -- 4-2, 0-0 WCC.

12/9/25 at Denver (W 79-68).
12/11/25 at UC Irvine (L 66-63).

A split for the Toreros, who see their 4 game win streak come to an end. They should be able to start another one, as they have a 5 game home stand coming up, but it's all against mostly west coast teams. Should be interesting.

Here's a look at the national top 25 heading into the week of Dec. 15-21:

A little stunned to see Fairfield lose all their votes. I knew they would lose some, but didn't think they'd lose all. Alabama drops 2 spots, even after a 3 for 4 week, while St. John's and Sacramento State both have nice jumps. TCU loses their votes, while Northwestern gains a few more.
