Summary:
Rob is a long-standing member of the Valencia first team and is very well-regarded within the club. He will probably never be amongst the best strikers in the world but he is recognised as a good one. He is also one of the first names on the team sheet for the US national team though it is unlikely he will ever break any records for the US (most capped - 192, Landon Donovan; most goals - 91, Jozy Altidore). There is some concern that Rob's injury problems the past 2 seasons have begun the deterioration of his ability and it has been remarked that is starting to slow down just a tad.
