The Historical Hegemon Series
Volume 16 - Mzab
Chapter One Hundred and Eighty-Four - Great Work Begun in Kilwa
1 Jan, 1719 – That was a busy year!
This is the year that my peace with Somalia ends but with just 128k manpower I don’t think we’ll be digging that channel, probably just Mombasa next.
I order:
Great Work:
Kilwa – 5k – This gives me the boosted trade power with Ships, merchant trade, and prestige
I have left 2553 for emergencies
30 Jan – I send my Deccan diplomat to make nice with Persia
1 Feb - Event – Coffee Imports – I choose to import and we get for 5 years +10% Fort Defense and reduced revoltrisk
23 Feb – I need to make nice with Malacca, our relations are down to -9 so I order my Barus diplomat back, so I can send one to make nice with them
2 April – I spend 140 ADM to boost our stability back to +3
1 Jul – Peace up with Somalia and allies
1 Aug - I choose Deccan as our new rival when I cannot do it anymore
1 Sept – Our level 3 ADM Advisor the Inquisitor passes, I hire a level 3 Philosopher +1 prestige each year
14 Oct – My Kilwa armies are back from West Africa and next to Mombasa
20 Oct - Ndingo converts! Two left from Kilwa
I order my Navy to the Zanzibar Strait
They have two Fortresses now, so I’d need to probably lose some manpower sieging
I order another 31k troops in Lake Victoria since I have 202.20 spent in maintenance and a forcelimit of 510k and 479k
That drops me to 129k manpower
17 Nov – Event – Tariffs on Tobacco – we do it
1 Jan, 1720 – I don’t order anything to save for emergency mercs against Mombasa
They have 26k troops in Pate two away from us so they may take their army to our stuff in Egypt
6 Jan – We have our navy in the Strait and my Kilwan army from Kinga here.
I DOW Mombasa for Malindi, next to us with a Fortress – this is the 2nd Mombasa War
Remember they are very high dev, so this might be three wars
