KC Beckam survives the cut as head coach, but his backside is firmly planted on the hot seat.

The rest of our staff is unchanged.

We extend several contracts, most notably Herman Edwards.

Gary Huff is released. We have our quarterback.

Our free agent ratings cap is 55 for offense, 49 for defense. $27 million in cap space, and we can make 15 offers.

Gregory Reynolds, who started in 25 games since 1976, left as a free agent and joined the Dolphins.

Only one stellar free agent signing - and it's not ours. RB Rickey Young is just outside our ratings cap, and leaves the Chargers for the Bills.

The top ten of the draft shakes out like this:

1.01 - Barcelona Dragons - LT Anthony Munoz (42/83)
1.02 - Mexico City Aztecs (via London Monarchs) - RB Billy Sims (49/63)
1.03 - New York Giants- RB Gerry Ellis (35/56)
1.04 - Toronto Huskies - T Tunch Ilkin (33/63)
1.05 - New Orleans Saints - CB Roynell Young (31/65)
1.06 - New Orleans Saints (via Detroit Lions) - DE Rulon Jones (32/51)
1.07 - Minnesota Vikings - QB Dave Krieg (15/50)
1.08 - St Louis Cardinals - DT Steve McMichael (42/61)
1.09 - Denver Broncos - T Karl Swanke (31/52)
1.10 - Mexico City Aztecs - ILB Larry McGrew (30/59)

There is a ton of draft pick trading in the second round.

My rookies are anything but stellar.

3.03 - FB Matt Suhey (27/54)
4.02 - MLB Rick Razzano (20/40)
5.01 - LCB Eric Hurst (16/19)
6.03 - WLB Makoa Stoutmire (10/22)
7.02 - FL Virgil Seay (12/21)

Be not afeard. The isle is full of noises, sounds, and sweet airs, that give delight, and hurt not.
Sometimes a thousand twangling instruments will hum about mine ears; and sometimes voices,
That, if I then had wak'd after long sleep, will make me sleep again; and then, in dreaming,
The clouds methought would open and show riches ready to drop upon me, that, when I wak'd, I cried to dream again.
