1903 World Series

Game one saw the White Sox score in the top of th efirst to take a 1-0 lead but the Cardinals woud tie it in the 3rd. The White Sox would take the lead 2-1 in the 5th only to see the Cardinals tie it in the 6th. In the bottom of the 9th pitcher Sam Leever would hit a leadoff double. Doc White would intentionally walk Jimmy Sebring. After the runners advance on a wild pitch he would inentionally walk Ossee Schreckengost to load the bases with no outs and setup a force at every bag. This would backfire as he would walk Roy Thomas on 4 pitches and the ardinals win game one by a 3-2 score.

The White Sox would answer in a big way in game two as they coast to an 11-0 victory behind Roy Patterson's 4 hit shutout.

Doc White would pitch the White Sox to a 2-1 victory in game 3 to take a 2 games to 1 lead.

Patterson would get his second victory in the world series by a 5-2 score in game 4. The White Sox now lead 3 games to 1 and are one win away from their 3rd straight championship.

With the game tied 1-1 in the bottom of the 8th Harry Steinfeldt would drive in 2 with a two out single togive the White Sox a 3-1 lead going into the 9th, just 3 outs away from a threepeat. Freddy Parent doubles on the first pitch against Rube Kisinger. Ed Phelps would pinch hit and line out to right for he first out. Jimmy Sebring would foul out to the catcher for the second out. Ossee Schreckengost would double to deep left to make it 3-2. Roy Thomas would ground out to third to end the game and give the White Sox yet another title.
