And now the defense is very good...

The running game is very respectable. We tried to play two rookies on the right side of our line this year, with Budgell playing RG and Sanford playing out of position at RT. I don't have any reason to think that killed us. We're still really short on line talent, but I think we have a group of guys that can stay/grow into respectability.

I probably should have tweaked some WR usage even more to bring Brennan down into a sub 100 targets for the season place. I think the passing game will continue to improve simply because of cohesion, but Tate is obviously limited and the WRs aren't particularly good either. We started playing the receiving back rookie (Rogers) in a WR slot for a stretch there. He was better than the guy he replaced but we were still pretty shaky there.

We are actually kind of talented on the defensive side now. We will likely never have a stud of any kind, but it seems to be reasonable to think we can scatter a lot of 50ish guys around and try to play some specialist role angles.

I think to actually be good we need to unlock something in the passing game. I'll keep hoping for an intriguing QB but we're probably going to get to watch how cohesion brings a bit more production out of these guys.
