Had a pretty good first week, did a good job cooking for myself and keeping salad stuff in the house and snacks that won't tempt me to stray from my low carb ways. My doctor has asked me to check my blood sugar twice a day until my next appointment, when I wake up, and shortly after a meal, and the numbers have improved from the high of 140 when I was at the doctor's office last week, and 141 the first morning I was dieting, most readings since then have been in the 90-110 range. I go back to the doctor next Monday w/ these numbers and we'll review the rest of my bloodwork and decide if I should be on any meds for blood sugar until I drop some more weight.

As always, I need to exercise more, and hopefully will do even better in week #2.
