Only 5 starters back on the offense, which is not really bad, but then again the reason some of these guys did not start last year is they were not good enough. KC Brenna is the unquestioned starter at QB and will be backed up by true freshman Dixon Fredrickson, our top rated recruit last year who we can't redshirt due to depth issues.

At RB Roy Jung was the anointed starter, but got a surprise push from incoming Freshman Ike Puente, who may turn out to be the best recruit of the 2005 class when all is said and done. He performed well enough to be anointed our short yardage back and will get plenty of touches behind Jung, who he may even displace as the season goes on. At receiver we return our top receiver in terms of receptions in Stanley Perkins, but it is slim pickings after that. We have some youngsters with potential, but they are far from ready right now. We need to seriously upgrade here during recruiting.

Up Front we are solid for guard to guard and will likely run between tackles as a result, but are weak at the tackle spots, which is another reason to become more run-centric this season as Brennan was sack an average of 5 times per start and if anything we may even be worse in these spots. Monty Dingle will be a beast down the road, but has a lot of developing to do!
