The Departed 7/10 I think this movie suffers from Philadelphia/Thin Red Line/ Lost in Traslation syndrome. The critics all gushed over it and everyone told me how good it was going to be and I kept waiting for the moment where I said "Yeah, I can see why this is the runaway favorite for best picture." Had I known nothing about it going in I think I would really enjoyed it more, but I kept waiting for something to really move me or wow me. I am sure there are plenty of movies that don't come near this that I might even rate higher but I remember at the end kind of feeling let down.
