2018 Postseason Recap
We already know that Kentucky got hammered by Baylor in one national semifinal. The other semifinal saw (4E) Syracuse get by (3MW) Gonzaga 82-78. Syracuse then went on to beat Baylor 71-65 for the national championship!
The NIT Final Four saw no power conference teams involved, and a very surprising team in it. The first semifinal saw (7W) Oakland beat (1S) UMass 73-58. The second semifinal saw (2E) Georgia State beat (1MW) BYU 66-64. Our NIT Championship was a battle of small conference schools as Oakland beat Georgia State 91-85.
The CBI held true to form, with the top 2 seeds playing in the Best of 3 Championship Series. In game 1, (1) Iona beat (2) Ole Miss 80-66. Ole Miss got the 2nd game by the slimmest of margins, 77-76. Game 3 wasn't nearly as close, as Ole Miss took care of Iona 73-56 to win the CBI Championship Series 2 games to 1.
In the CIT, (4) Army beat (14) Eastern Washington 86-68.
