The Negro League I Ones toppled the Left Outs Leftovers by a 7 to 3 score at
Overshadow Pk.
Negro League I erupted with the game winning runs in the top of the 8th inning
scoring 3 runs on 2 hits. After an out was recorded, Ray Dandridge got
things rolling when he drew a walk. Josh Gibson came next and he drew a
walk. Buck Leonard then doubled bringing in two baserunners. Martin Dihigo
followed and he stroked a base-hit, and an error was also committed, scoring
the final run of the inning. Negro League I managed 9 in their victory.
Bullet Joe Rogan(2-1) went 8 innings allowing 3 runs for the victory. Early
Wynn(0-2) absorbed the loss in relief. He pitched 1/3 of an inning giving up
no hits and 2 walks.

Pete Alexander pitched a complete game at Nintendo Field where the NL Pre WWII
club beat the Japanese League HOF Players by the score of 4 to 3.
NL Pre WWII won the game with a run in the top of the 9th inning. After an
out was recorded, Kiki Cuyler singled. Pie Traynor stepped up next and he
doubled scoring the run. NL Pre WWII finished with 10 hits in the victory.
Alexander(2-1) finished the game allowing 3 runs in the victory. Keishi
Suzuki(0-1) was hit with the loss in relief. He allowed 3 hits and no walks
in 2 innings.
NL POST WWII AT NEGRO LEAGUE II

Jim Bunning pitched a 3 hit shutout at Shadowball Stadium where the NL Post
WWII ballclub beat the Negro League II Twos 2 to 0.
Bunning(1-2) put on a good performance. He allowed just 3 hits and 5 walks in
9 innings lowering his ERA from 6.00 to 2.40. NL Post WWII finished with
just 6 hits in the victory.
Cannonball Redding(1-2) took the loss. He allowed just 1 run and 4 hits in 8
innings.
TURN OF CENTURY AT DEAD BALL ERA

Cy Young was able to finish what he started and was credited with a complete
game as the Turn of Century Centurions topped the Dead Ball Era Ghosts by a
score of 12 to 6 at Deadball Park.
Turn of Century tallied 6 runs in the 6th inning with the help of 5 hits. The
critical plate appearance was by Jimmy Collins who disappointed the partisan
crowd when he laced a one-base hit scoring two baserunners. Turn of Century
banged out 19 on the afternoon.
The victory went to Young(2-1) who went the distance allowing 6 runs. The
losing pitcher was Ed Walsh(1-2). He got hit pretty hard, allowing 14 hits
and 3 walks in 5 and 2/3 innings.
AL PRE WWII AT CARIBBEAN

Bill Dickey hit 2 doubles and had 3 RBI and Red Faber completed the game
without help from the bullpen as the AL Pre WWII team defeated the Caribbean
Estrellas 7 to 1 at Paradise Park.
Faber(1-0) looked very much in control throughout the day. He didn't allow
much, just 5 hits and 2 walks in 9 innings lowering his ERA to 2.66. AL Pre
WWII had 12 hits for the afternoon.
Luis Tiant Sr.(0-3) was the loser. He allowed a few too many baserunners
giving up 11 hits and 4 walks in 8 innings.
LATE 20TH AT FOFC

Brian Babson came through with a solid 9 innings and Persimmon Pflaggstettler
had 3 base hits and 2 RBI at FOFC Stadium as the FOFC All Stars beat the Late
20th Modern Stars by the count of 4 to 1.
Babson(2-0) escaped virtually unscathed against the Late 20th hitters. He was
stingy on the mound, allowing just 5 hits and 1 walk in 9 innings seeing his
ERA drop from 3.00 to 2.25. Neither team managed to score after the 4th
inning.
Randy Johnson(2-1) was given the loss. He pitched 7 innings allowing 6 hits
and 1 walk.
