UNLV ends up #1 in the final poll.

Marist is #17, Ohio #18, VCU #24.

Clemson is #4, Maryland #12.

Bubble Teams: lots of major schools. San Diego is the only mid-major. Missouri is 19-14 and on the bubble. Va Tech and Miami both out of the ACC. UAB, Rhode Island and Temple in 'large' conferences.

1 seeds:

East: Louisville
South: UNLV
Midwest: Ole Miss
West: Kansas

East Region

1 seed: Louisville

UConn comes in a 9 seed, 20-12 overall this year.

Ohio is the 4 seed in the East Region!!!!

We will play 13 seed Utah State. That's a perfect matchup for us, we destroyed them earlier in the year.

Assuming we win, we will play either 5 seed Arizona or 12 seed George Mason.

VCU gets in as the 7 seed.

kentucky is the 2 seed here.

South

Marist is the 5 seed here, they'll play Arizona State.

San Diego makes it as a 10 seed here. texas A&M is the 2 here.

Midwest

North Carolina is 22-12 and is the 8 seed here. They'll play Xavier and then Ole Miss if they win.

Clemson is the 2 seed here. Southern Illinois, one of the teams that was usually a top mid-major a few years ago, is the 15 seed at 18-12.

West

Texas Tech finishes 18-13 and is the 9 seed in the west. They'll play Vandy, and if they win, Kansas.

West Virginia is the 2 seed here.

Duke is struggling without Coach K around, and missed the tournament this year.

8 out of the big east. SEC 6, Pac 10/ACC 5.

Missouri, the only team we played this year on the bubble, missed the tournament.

Our first game will be vs Utah State. We beat them 87-65 in the first game of the season. We got 19 from Bright and 13 from Grundy, with all 5 starters getting double digit scoring. They have a talented, though small, center named Monwell Tafo who only averaged 12 ppg this season, but put up 22 points against us in the loss for Utah State.

Looking ahead, Arizona appears the type of team we usually get killed by when we play major conference teams. They're rated 93 OVR and are coached by Mark Few who by now has 500 wins and is a 99 rated coach. We'll be rooting for George Mason to pull the big upset.

Arizona's worst starter is rated 82 OVR, and 4 of their 5 starters are rated higher than anyone on our team. In fact, they have 2 bench players better than anyone on our team and 8 guys rated 80+.

But, we have to take care of business vs Utah State first. And as I mentioned, root for George Mason I have some errands to run and will get to this in a few hours.
