Similar, though I'm more mildly interested & pretty fn hesitant.
Criticism seems pretty consitent: a lack of meaningful differentiation between nations/civs, and the absence of flavor that comes with that, plus lackluster combat and diplo facets.
I'd have to have a major change of heart to pull the trigger until several patches most likely.
