It is a good move.
If you make it, get a stop, you need a TD to basically win, assuming you make the PAT.
If you miss you still can go for 2 for the tie. Makes perfect sense, especially if you think going making 2 is better than 50%.
Thinking like yours is dying in the NFL and the broadcasters are the last to figure it out.
