Model City Kings (9-6-6, 8th) vs Wake Forest Cougars(9-6-6, 8th)

Attendence: 211

We won the first meeting this year.

Starting Lineup

GK: Gyan
D: Coggins/Burke/Lassiter/Varela
DM: Williams
M: Glaser/Shakespeare
AM: Colangelo/Crook
ST: Roth

Backups in since we just played 3 days ago.

23': AMR Ryan Crook is hurt and has to leave the match. Sandoval is in in his place, playing out of position because I didn't pay enough attention to subs going into this.

42': They shoot from 20 yards out, its off the post, Gyan dove for it and missed. The ball bounces off the post and hits Gyan in the back and rolls slowly towards the net. Gyan recovers just in time to turn around and pounce on the ball.

HALF: They outshoot us 4-2, one shot on target for each.

46': Buildup for us after the kickoff, Colangelo finds Roth about 20 yards out with no one in front of him. The keeper rushes out, and Roth tries to lob over him... his shot just hits the crossbar, so close.

57': Yellow for Coggins

60': Perkins in for Shakespeare

65': Sandoval and Roth with a give and go move on the right side, Roth back to Sandoval who beats the keeper. Hooray for out of position subs! 1-0

75': Pena in for Glaser

78': Pretty awful defending on our part of a weak ball into the left side of the area, we let ST Valeasco get deep with the ball with lots of help, he puts it into the 6 yard box and they get a header in. 1-1

That's it for this one.

Model City 1 : 1 Wake Forest

Man of the Match: Ashley Sandoval (7.1)
Goal: Sandoval
Assist: Roth (6.7)

Coggins/Lassister/Burke with 6.3/6.4/6.5 ratings, they could have been better.

-- backup AML Luca Colangelo was hurt near the end of that one, he's going to miss 2 weeks. Crook has no long term issues.
