Old North Cup Quarterfinal Draw

Eight teams left, one other from our division, one just 1 tier up, the other 5 are well above us. We're going to be going on the road to play the Wilmington Hammerheads from the USL Pro division. They actually promoted up last year into the top USL league, which is the 3rd tier of American soccer.

That match won't take place until June 10th.

New Coaches

36 y/o Reinaldo Navia signs with us. 8 attacking/8 defending/9 mental/7 technica/7 tactical.

30 y/o Chris Hawkins also joins the coaching staff. 6 attacking/7 defending/6 mental/6 technical. We have warm bodies to fill our training schedules again.

We also sign a new physio, Carl Parkins, physiotherapy 5, to replace the guy we temporarily moved to assistant coach to make this all happen.

Friendly - Feb 22nd

We host DC United, it didn't cost much to get them here so why not. This is only a few days after our last match. I make sure not to start anyone who played in our cup match.

Goes as expected. No one gets hurt so its good enough!

Wake Forest 0 : 4 DC United

Injury Update

In a reserve match, DL Sean Rongen got hurt and will miss 6-7 weeks. DR Fausto Diaz is going to miss 4-5 weeks.

Both are the #3 options at their positions.

-- On the good side of injury news, ST Samir Pace has recovered from the injury he picked up at the end of last season and will start working on his fitness immediately.

Friendly - Feb 27th

Our last friendly before the North American Open group play starts. We travel to CASL Chelsea.

We only have 11 players who aren't match fit right now, so we've done a good job getting everyone ready, hopefully this last match will take care of it for most of them.

They get a red card around the 50th minute after a scoreless first half. We take advantage with goals from Pace and Crook.

CASL Chelsea 0 : 2 Wake Forest

-- That takes us to the end of February. For the next two months we'll be playing North American Open group stage matches.
