Here's how things are looking in the Western Conference as of Week 16:

As you can see, a lot will ride on the last week's games. The San Andreas division winner will be determined by the HB-LB and Sac-SC games. Boise will seek to determine their final playoff seeding against an already-eliminated Anchorage squad. Denver and Tulsa meet to determine the division winner, which will also have implications for the Wild Card race. Fargo is also still alive in that race.

Of greatest relevance for Yours Truly is the status of the RoF. Please note that ours is the only division in the Conference, and in the whole CFL for that matter, with zero teams eliminated from playoff contention. I've been saying all along how brutal this division is - and it remains that way down to the final week. Arizona lost to Detroit in Week 16, and so they no longer control their own destiny. That perk fell to Las Vegas, who managed a win despite losing QB Lenny Olsen to a season-ending fractured ankle (suffered on the 2nd-to-last play of the game, running out the clock!). If they beat Honolulu this week they'll make it into the playoffs as a WC team. All other permutations are too complex for my addled brain.

My biggest concern is to secure homefield advantage, so we need to take care of business vs. Arizona this week. Or hope for a Boise loss to Anchorage, which isn't looking very likely.
