2000 Regular Season

During the 2000 season, I barely got my feet wet, not bothering to change the roster and quick-simming through the entire season. This is not the meat and potatoes of this dynasty, and none of the current players will be with us after the initial season or two.
With the team on autopilot, Bill and I spent the fall strategizing about the future. Here are some brief highlights and then we can move on.

The final standings for the meaningless 2000 campaign were as follows:

Arizona 10-6
Dallas 8-8
NYG 8-8
Wash 8-8
Philly 2-14

Our first head-to-head against Dallas went like this:

So there you have it. We split with the Cowboys during the regular season. Big whup. 8-8 meant no playoffs this year - but again, who cares? Right now, all we want is to get out of New York and into Texas. Only when that is accomplished will we turn our attention to building a team in our image.
2000 Super Bowl

Alright, if you must know, here are the results of the 2000 Super Bowl:

Green Bay (14-6) 19
Baltimore (13-6) 14

Happy now? Go Cheeseheads!

With the offseason here, the real work begins. Time to propose a new stadium -- a stadium that's sure to be rejected!

Behind closed doors, Bill & I have drawn up plans for the most expensive stadium possible, and here's the kicker: we're asking the public to pay for it all! Let's see how dumb these New Yorkers really are!!!

Here are the details:

New Stadium Proposal for Giants (in New York)

Type: Outdoor/Natural Grass

Capacity: 99,900
Club Seats: 19,900
Luxury Boxes: 399

Expected Cost: $268,000,000
Team Contribution: $0
Request From Public: $268,000,000

Results of the proposal will be announced after the Draft in April. Until then, we will do GM things and act like we care about the team.

So for now, I must take my leave of you, but I will be back soon enough. I'll leave you to wonder what Bill and I must wonder:

HOW WILL THE STADIUM VOTE GO?!?!?

Stay tuned!
