2003 Offseason

Many heads will roll after our showing this season.

Telling Statistics

Our best rusher averaged 2.4 ypc, for 280 yards on the season. None of them will be returning.

Irv Evans threw for 2000 yds, 11 TDs, and 13 INTs, for a 64.9 QB rating, which was just stellar when compared to Edwin Waddle's 836 yds, 2 TDs, 12 INTs performance, which got him a whopping 34.9 QB rating.

We had one decent performance at WR from Kyle Diaz, who racked up 1117 yds and 4 TDs with nobody to help him. We will definitely try to sign him to a multi-year deal. Gilbert Lake and Cris Dixon managed around 500 yds and 2 TDs each. If desperate, we will re-sign them.

On D, we had some okay performances:
Josh Lyle made 101 tackles, C.J. Dunn made 91, and Donnie Sullivan had 88 tackles.

Five defenders had 3.5 to 4.5 sacks, but no real standouts.

In the End of Season Power Ratings, we got a 1.

Supply And Demand 101?

Fan loyalty has fallen to 56.

In light of this, we decided to jack up the prices about 20% across the board, and added on $2000 seat licenses. Don't blame us if people buy 'em for a team that will be gone in 5 years.

Finances, Schminances

Team profits for 2002 were up 22% over 2001, meaning our losses were 22% less than last year.

Revenues were $89,520,000, with a similar breakdown to 2001 revenues.

Costs were $103,590,000. Player contracts dropped from $46,030,000 in 2001 to $14,700,000, but Player Bonuses shot up to $20,490,000, compared to $12,600,000 in 2001. The biggest increase in costs came in the Scouting Staff budget, which shot up from $4,500,000 to $27,000,000, or a 500% increase.

All of this combined to give the team a $14,070,000 loss for the 2002 season, down from $18,070,000 in 2001.

In total, this puts Bill's losses so far at around $652 million. You may not like him, but the guy sure ain't cheap!

Season Team Losses
2000 $620,000,000
2001 18,000,000
2002 14,000,000

Total $652,0O0,000
