(7) North Carolina (19-11, 6-10 ACC) vs (10) Florida State (10-17, 6-10 ACC)

Forte played last time we played UNC, but we primarily won because Moye scored a career high 35 points, an insane total given that we only scored 63 as a team.

We'll try to shoot 3's, and we'll try to get into the middle of the 3-2 zone if that doesn't work(Sneed's nice mid-range jumper might help here), but I don't have high hopes of repeating our earlier result.

Scouting

PG Craig Hoskin – FR – 85 OVR – 9.1 ppg/2.6 apg. 93 speed/84 quickness. 89 defense/90 steals. 87 hands/80 passing. 88 close/80 med/89 3/81 off the dribble... 89 3 point shot as a true freshman, holy shit. A+ potential. I don't know how well this game handles 1 and done but the draft buzz around Hoskin is that he is a lottery pick this year.

SG Russ Haigler – JR – 89 OVR – 15.2 ppg. 89 speed/89 quickness. 82 defense/82 steals. PG level ball handler and passer (91/83 A/A- for a SG). 84 close/86 med/90 3. only 78 off the dribble, surprisingly low given eerything else.

SF Phil Atangana – FR – 85 OVR – 90 speed/82 quickness. 82 defense/88 steals. 87 close/75 med/72 3/84 off the dribble. Atangana is actually a natural SF, but he's 6'6”. 7.2 ppg.

PF Marcel Konate – JR – 90 OVR – 6'6” PF – 16.4 ppg/6.0 rpg. 82 orb/88 drb. 86 post off/90 post def. 94 close/87 in traffic. Additionally he has the speed of a SF and the mid range and 3 point shot of a guard. Coach on the floor this year too... If he leaves early he'll be a first round pick. I dream of a big man this talented one day. I assure you he'll score more than 16 per game.

C Quinton Diame - JR – 71 OVR – holy crap, 7'3”!! not skilled at all. No ratings over 80 except his close rnage shot which is 87. But holy crap, 7'3!

They're not missing, we're not making anything.

Moye hits a 3 for us finally, and the backups are on their way in. We're 2/9, Sneed and Moye each with a bucket.

Haigler has 11 for them, 3 3's I think. The loss of Forte, moving Alloway to the starting lineup and this worthless reserve in Gunn to the backup squad... seems to be having a big impact. I get a timeout.

Oh heh I remember... Hoskin was hurt and slowed in our last meeting. Wow he just put some moves on McClurkin. Ended up kicking it out for another 3. I get another timeout and get the starters back in.

Moye hits 2 threes in a row and has 11 now. We just aren't really stopping them...

Well that was fun. UNC is 5/8 from 3, shooting 68% overall. We are shooting 17%. They've got 13 from Haigler, 10 from Atangana.

We have 11 from Moye, 2 from Sneed. We're 5-28 from the field.

Heh, we're so far down that UNC starts its reserves in the 2nd half. Sadly two of their backups are rated higher than anyone on my squad. At this point I'm basically trying to go off on a big run early in the half, if I can't, we're done.

Heh. It doesn't take long. I'm down 47-17 when I give up.

North Carolina 73
Florida State 50

They end up with 19 from Haigler, 14 from Atangana and a good mix from everyone else.

Alloway: 0 points
Moye: 13 points
Ozier: 0 points
Sneed: 11 points/6 boards
Locklier: 8 points/5 boards

Barrett: 12 points
