Removing Football wins would be an insult... the season doesn't have anything to do with this crime, the whole point should be that some things are outside and BEYOND football, and should be handled with no wavering in an ethical and legal manner. PSU failed on both counts, Paterno is being attacked on his ethics.
Making it an issue of NCAA invalidating seasons muddies the waters with no real benefit to human deceny. Hell, for the infractions it does make sense for (like NCAA's traditional cheating enforcement) it is pretty much considered a cheesy punishment that 'fans don't care about'.
