Pre Show Match
--Wendell Cooley def. Danny Davis (one night deal) in 7:12 by pinfall following a Wildcat Slam. (C+, 70)

--Lance Russell starts the show by hyping the six-man tag main event with Jerry Lawler, Junkyard Dog, and Bill Dundee going up against Buzz Sawyer, Manny Fernandez, and Randy Savage. (B, 81) Sawyer, Manny, and Savage come out and promise a beatdown in Georgia tonight. Sawyer says that Larry Zbyzsko is right down the road if Lawler or JYD want him to come visit. (A+, 100)

--Russell hypes the continuation of the TV title tournament tonight with three matches. (B-, 72)

CWA Television Title Tournament Match
--Adrian Street def. Tommy Rogers in 5:48 by submission following a sleeper. (B-, 76) After the match, Street hypes his client, Hercules, and his title qualifier later in the show. (C, 62) Street advances to the quarterfinals of the TV title tournament.

--Lance Russell interviews the Rock ‘n’ Roll Express about their upcoming title defense versus the Moondogs next Thursday night at the Mid-South Coliseum. The Express say they are ready for the challenge and plan on keeping the titles for a long time. (B-, 76) As Morton and Gibson are exiting the interview area, the Moondogs attack Morton and Gibson with the Moondog bones and beat the Express to a pulp, leaving both in a pool of blood. (C+, 69)

--The Fabulous Ones def. Roger Smith and Don Bass in 8:24 by pinfall following a Keirn piledriver on Bass. (B-, 76) After the match, Keirn and Lane talk about their singles matches versus Dennis Condrey and Norvell Austin at the Battle of Memphis, saying that after next Thursday night, it will be back to tag team business and winning the tag titles back. (B, 80)

--Jimmy Hart comes out and hypes the First Family’s upcoming title wins. He says that after the Moondogs win the tag team titles, Rick Rude wins the TV title, and Sawyer retaining the Southern title, there will be a parade in the streets of Memphis, Tennessee. (B-, 71)

CWA Television Title Tournament Match
--Hercules Hernandez w/Adrian Street def. Bobby Fulton in 5:06 after Fulton submitted to the full nelson. (C-, 61) After the match, Hercules flexes for the cameras while Street wonders aloud where “Gwendolyn” is. (B, 77)

--Jim Cornette is interviewed by Lance Russell. Cornette says his team is ready for Keirn and Lane next Thursday night and reminds the fans that both Condrey and Austin are accomplished singles wrestlers, and not just former tag team champions. (B-, 76) He also talks about the ‘Australian chihuahua’ Bill Dundee and his upcoming loss to Manny Fernandez in the six-man tag and next Thursday night in Memphis. He says that after next Thursday night, Bill Dundee may not have a neck to help keep his thick head on. (B, 82)

CWA Television Title Tournament Match
--Bobby Eaton def. Norvell Austin w/Jim Cornette by pinfall in 7:48 following a Cornette distraction turning into an accidental tennis racket headshot onto Austin. (B-, 76) Eaton becomes the sixth wrestler to advance to the quarterfinals of the TV title tournament.

--Bill Dundee, Jerry Lawler, and Junkyard Dog come out and hype their match versus Manny, Sawyer, and Savage. Lawler says all Sawyer is good at is running his mouth and telling anyone and everyone how crazy he is. JYD tells Sawyer to hug that belt as long as they can because he will win it soon. (A+, 100)

--Jerry Lawler, Bill Dundee, and Junkyard went to a no contest with Randy Savage, Manny Fernandez, and Buzz Sawyer in 15:31 when referee Jerry Calhoun lost control of the match and all of the action spilled out to the ringside area. (B+, 86)

--This is the last TV show before the Battle of Memphis event next Thursday night. This will give another three weeks to get ready for the big July 4th event, Red, White, and Bruise.
