Santos Cops #1 Pitcher Award in June

Paco Santos took home the Continental League Pitcher of the Month honors in June. After all these years playing ball, the 35-year-old veteran still enjoys the game as though he'd just broken camp for the first time a month ago. He's a bit older now with a few more aches and pains, but the old man has reason to celebrate, having gone 5-0 for
Noblesville last month and claiming the Pitcher of the Month award.
He tacked up a 1.86 ERA in his 5 starts, tossing 38.2 innings and striking out 20.
This season-to-date,
Santos has fashioned a 10-4 mark and 4.05 ERA in 95.2 innings. Opposing clubs are batting .269 against him and he has logged 44 strikeouts.
Román Nets RL #1 Pitcher Award

Juan Román of
Colorado had an award-winning June as he took home the Republic League Pitcher of the Month award.
"He told me once people used to make fun of the way he pitches," Román's pitching coach told reporters. "There wasn't anybody laughing in June except for
Juan."
Román was all business when he took the mound though, collecting a 4-0 record in 5 starts. He struck out 8 batters in 33.1 innings and kept opponents to a .242 batting average.
This season
Román has compiled a 6-7 record with a 5.07 ERA in 16 starts.
