In hindsight, it was the Dennis Dixon contract that got us. Had I traded for a QB with just 1 more year on his contract instead of Dixon, we'd be on to our 3rd year with the income increase that comes with a playoff team. Instead, I'm fired. One veteran contract and one draft pick too many is all it took to end the 8th try.

On to the 9th. Despite the frustration, I'm really enjoying the challenge.
