CL Choice for Batter of the Month is Álvarez

June's Batter of the Month Award has been given out by the Continental League. This month's trophy was presented to the
Apex first baseman,
José Álvarez.
He starred by hitting .444 with a .489 on-base percentage, totaled 36 hits in 81 at-bats, 6 home runs, 34 RBIs and scored 15 runs.
Álvarez is batting .329 this season in 73 games with 20 home runs, 71 RBIs and 37 runs scored. He has 83 hits in 252 at-bats.

Henry Johnston helped his contract negotiations by nabbing June's Republic League Batter of the Month honors.
The
Tokyo third baseman put together a .349 batting average with 6 home runs, 16 RBIs and 22 runs scored.
Someone will surely be opening up the vault this offseason if
Johnston continues at this brisk pace.
Looking at his stats this year,
Johnston has compiled a .255 batting average, while hitting 13 home runs and driving in 40 runs. He has played in 84 games and scored 47 runs.
